My Appreciation for the Ministry of Watchman Nee & Witness Lee--A Ministry of Imparting Christ and Nothing but Christ, A.C.

Through the years, I have received much help in my Christian life from the writings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. The focus of these two brothers' ministry is simply Christ. In their many publications, I have found deep and profound experiences of Christ and His cross. Although both Watchman Nee and Witness Lee had rich knowledge and clear understanding of the Scripture, they did not minister mere Bible doctrines and theologies. What they ministered and preached was the Christ who had become their life and living.

The reason I appreciate this ministry so much is because it always brings me back to the Person of Christ. It infuses me with appreciation for the preciousness of our Lord Jesus. The more I spend time in this ministry, the more I find my love for the Lord increased, strengthened, and intensified! I don't know how many times when I have reached certain crisis in my Christian life, this ministry has been able to carry me through by unveiling to me more of His grace and His mercy.

My Experience of Salvation in the local church

During my sophomore year in high school, a member of the local church, who was my brother's elementary school teacher, invited my family to attend a meeting. Although I had always acknowledged the existence of God, I was not that desirous to know more. Nevertheless, through my parents' encouragement, I went reluctantly to some of their meetings for young people. During one of those meetings, I opened up my heart to receive the Lord as my Savior. That marked the beginning of my Christian life. It was also in a meeting for young people that I was introduced to Christian practices such as pray-reading and calling on the name of the Lord. Initially, they were unfamiliar to me, however the more I called on the Lord's precious Name and read and prayed His Word, the more I experienced a living spring gushing up from within me.

It has been approximately ten years since I first received the Lord in a meeting of the local church. I am truly thankful to the Lord for His mercy and grace that He has brought me to “follow the footsteps of the flock.” I have to testify that the Lord's blessing and His supply has been richer and fuller to me day by day. Not only have I found much truth in the church, I have also had many precious experiences of our dear Lord Jesus Christ with His love and grace. I simply do not have the words to express the appreciation and gratitude within me. I can only praise the Lord for His infinite mercy that I am still here today enjoying a moment-by-moment supply. Lord Jesus, I love You!
